My day starts and ends with him !!!

“You can love me or hate me.But you can’t ignore me”…Seems to justify for at least one particular thing…

My love for Bengaluru, the garden city ,the IT hub forces me to write something about the day to day issue I face everyday…

The problem of driving on the road…The problem of starting early for meeting…The problem of coming late from office…

Spending hours in traffic jam-This is Bangalore/Bengaluru for you…You can’t change it ,so better accept it,make it a part of life…

Give him sometime, you may start liking it…

I know I am sounding bit like a counselor for arranged marriage…Spend some time, love him/her…
try to adjust with him/her…and she/he will love you back (Miracle!!!)

But that’s true…The more you adjust with each other, the less horrible your journey will be or rather should I say your day…

I start half an hour early to office to avoid traffic.at times even at the cost of my breakfast.I don’t go to meet my friends in MG road,Brigade road stretch giving excuse of the famous Bengaluru traffic.
Rather we say if you are in this part of city, let’s catch up.

I calculate travel time to a particular place keeping in mind the three musketeers :Silk board traffic,KR Puram traffic,Marathahalli traffic…
Of course there are rules for the road,
but it seemed obvious that they didn’t apply to those in a hurry… to get to work, home, wherever!

Do you know,What is the most common disease in Bangalore?
RSI – Repetitive Stress Injury. No, not because of computers, but because of honking horns!

“Just another crazy day”, I thought to myself, as I tried to maneuver my car through the morning traffic on my way to work.

Looking up to see the digital display above the traffic-light counting down from 150, I turned off the engine,
doing my bit to conserve fuel, keep the environment clean, that sort of thing…
Some commercial was going on in the FM where a pretty lady (hopefully) with lots of enthusiam was asking her beloved hubby
to book an apartment in the lush greenery of XYZ  location, 2 min from upcoming Namma metro and 5 min from Bangalore’s biggest mall,so and so…

I couldn’t hold my chuckle. As when you say 5 min,it can never be by drive because of our peak-hour-non-peak hour, morning hour-evening hour traffic.

Being a manager,I have been paid for analyzing the problems. So the true blue manager in me,tried to figure out few reasons which has taken happiness from our life.

I consider the biggest reason for traffic jams is the bad roads, followed closely by poor traffic management
and lack of proper infrastructure like flyovers. The psycology of people not accepting carpool and bike pool can be a significant reason.In-disciplined drivers were also seen as unavoidable reason for the traffic jams.

When two denizens of this city meet, you know what is the most common topic of discussion?
Of course ,Traffic

Few of us,have taken “Rules are meant to be broken” quiet seriously and break it as they wish …

let’s begin with respecting traffic rules & regulations.
We should never try to outsmart these since they are there for a reason. Say yes to Carpool and Bikepool.
I am going to step out and hope to see people of Namma Bengaluru do their bit.

Be safe and drive safe!!!
