I have started my birthday with a heartfelt blog which got published in various forums and got appreciation. So how can I not end this year with another learning blog.
Yeah,I am just 35 …Tried, tested ,been there ,done it ,loved it and still learning …That’s pretty much my approach for life …
With every year that passes I totally embrace my age, always thinking that my new age is better than the last. It goes to show that change is something we should embrace. The things that we fear – including the fear of the unknown – can be what makes us when we look back.
Was it a good year ? Neah!!! it was awesome.
Did I get a lottery ? Neah!!!I met people,I made memories, few good and of course few not so good …
And I am really excited to take another step towards my life goal…Excited to be celebrating another trip around the sun. It isn’t fair to pressure ourselves to feel like by this age this and that should be happening in my life because I think what’s meant to be will be and there is no time limit on the things you want to achieve.
Since I am ending this year and going to embrace another fruitful year , I figured I’d compile a little list of some of the most important things I’ve learned this year.
Social media influence:
For few it’s just meeting acquaintances ,for few another way of approaching opposite sex, but for me this year was a real experience of meeting people virtually. I have been part of few fabulous online groups. Met my tribe. Met entrepreneurs, social reformers, saree enthusiasts, foodies, travelers, life coaches, yogis/yoginis and many more to all to the list. We appreciated each other and our contributions to the world. Few loved me ,few admired me and I felt in love with few as well. I mean it…For selective (or should I call Lucky)few even I’m head over heels. And I understood that you can be the same person privately, publicly and personally.
Being stronger is the only choice left with you:
I hold this image of strong, fearless and free-spirited.You attract few with your vibes and aura and i am a firm believer of those energies. May be because of this strong image ,few got scared getting connected. Every time I got that request you seems to be not interested in talking ,you seems to be very focused blah blah…They assumed because a part of my life is being documented in social media. I had my own share of struggles, road bumps and probably that made me carry this image. In this world everyone tells you to be strong and remind you of your strength. But all I desire is for someone to hold my hand and say.”It’s okay to be weak sometimes” and someone to just soak up my energy and when I am drown can give it back. Till then let this image be my identity ,a fearless Nari…
Being criticized equals to being learnt :
No matter where I’ve been in life, people have criticized me. If I had listened to every piece of negative feedback, I’d be like sitting in a dark room. We’ve all been criticized at one time or another. You gotta do what you gotta do and either way someone, somewhere will have something to say. If you don’t want to be criticized, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing. This year I’ve realized that ‘it is, what it is’. Me trying to control the situation & change people into something they’re not is counterproductive & fucking pointless.
Thank you so much for giving me a great year I could ask for – your love and support for me mean so much and I am forever grateful to share with you!
Then tomorrow, continue to take a journey with me and explore the amounts of Love available in the blessing called Life and sprinkle it with as much Laughter as possible…
They call me Nari
