I asked him,’Do your read?’ and he replied,’yeah,Facebook updates,tweets,news headlines’ …And i was speechless !!!Later I couldn’t ask,”When is the last time you read a book ? an article? a blog ?an autobiography ?”

 

We do a lot of things to keep our body young and healthy but what about brain ?

Just like any other muscle of the body, brain needs exercise to be healthy and strong and what can be a better way than reading.It’s been proven to improve people’s memories, increase brain power, and even enhance empathetic skills.It’s not uncommon for people to say that a book has changed their life, but did you know reading a novel can actually change the brain?

 

Roberto Bolaño says, “Reading is like thinking, like praying, like talking to a friend, like expressing your ideas, like listening to other people’s ideas, like listening to music, like looking at the view, like taking a walk on the beach.”

Loosing yourself to a well-written book ,a great story can transport you to other realms,allowing you to relax by letting the stress away.When you read a book, all of your attention is focused on the story—the rest of the world just falls away, and you can immerse yourself in every fine detail you’re absorbing.

Reading stimulates brain boosting your imagination and creativity.It gives you freedom to roam the expanse of space, time, history, and offer a deeper view of ideas, concepts, emotions, and body of knowledge.
